Patch Notes

This page mirrors public Professional Ship Simulator notes. It is not a studio changelog. Steam Early Access is scheduled for 16 September 2026. Until Steam sells that build, treat the paid product as upcoming. The free demo and the published wiki notes (revision 1667, release candidate 1717) are what we can verify.

For dates and policy see Early Access. For what they still want to add, see the roadmap.

Early Access Release Candidate 1717 (8 September 2026)

Official wiki post: a lot happened since the demo. Highlights as written by SWE Systems / NauticXP:

  • Career playable up to Level 2, with trainings, license checks, Harbor Office intro, residential purchases that unlock extra travel destinations, and save/load stability work. Practical notes on the career page.
  • Ships: many bridges, instruments, handling, docking, mooring, and tug interactions improved. Visual and audio passes (glass, smoke, sounds). The Medium Trawler and Container Feeder are not in Early Access yet — they still have sea trials. Do not plan a commercial save around a feeder.
  • Navigation: higher-resolution nautical chart for the Rügen sea area; waypoint, radar, sonar, compass, and autopilot improvements.
  • Tutorials: Ship Handling and Tugboat training polished; off-screen indicators for equipment and objectives; cargo, rescue, tourist, and crew-transport missions improved.
  • World: more scenery on Rügen and Dover, road traffic, AI ship routes, piers and bollards. Fast Travel can still create rescue events or bad weather.
  • UI / localization: menus, tutorials, controls, signal flags, lights, keybinds, HUD, radio menu, loading screens.

They also describe hundreds of smaller handling, physics, audio, visual, and stability fixes since the demo. That is a candidate note, not a Steam library entry. Confirm against the live client after 16 September 2026.

Beta revision 1667 (21 August 2026)

Public beta notes while polishing for Early Access:

  • Fast Travel: better map loading; continues to the destination if you decline an offered mission; random rescue and bad weather during Fast Travel; new drop-out background; spawn-harbor fixes.
  • Water: foam experiments reverted; bow wave hidden when the camera goes underwater; dark map background while tiles load.
  • Missions: crew transport offered from up to 3 km from the office; replacement boats for rescue and pleasure craft; radio without a valid location falls back to 75% signal; extra save/load logging.
  • Tourists and interaction-button cleanup after loads and destroyed objects.
  • Small trawler glass; automatic pier position adjustments; Greifswald and Lauterbach decoration; foliage around Glowe, Breege, Wiek, Wittow Ferry, Kloster, Vitte, Neuendorf, Schaprode, Barhöft; stairs at Schaprode and Barhöft.

How we will use this page after launch week

New Steam news posts belong here as dated sections. We will not silently rewrite every guide the night a foam setting changes. If a live build contradicts this page, trust the build and the official links.
